How your loan goes from application to your account

1

Fill out the online application

Click Apply Now and complete our short, secure application form. It typically takes under 5 minutes. You'll provide basic details about yourself, your income, and your bank account so we can deposit your loan and collect repayment.

Under 5 minutes 256-bit encrypted No fax required

What you'll need: Government-issued ID, banking information (bank, transit, account numbers), recent pay stub or proof of income, and your last 3 months of bank statements plus your most recent activity (see step 2).

2

Send us your banking

We need your last 3 months of bank statements plus your most recent activity — everything from the end of your last statement up to today. Getting it right the first time is the fastest way to get approved.

Not sure how? See how to send us your banking below, with steps for TD, CIBC, RBC, Scotiabank, BMO, Tangerine and PC Financial.

3

We review and approve

Our team reviews your application and makes a lending decision quickly — usually within minutes during business hours. We consider your income and repayment ability, not just your credit score. Most applicants get a decision within the same business day.

Fast decision Not credit-score only

What happens here: We may contact you for additional information. Once approved, we'll send you a loan agreement to review and sign electronically.

4

Review and sign your agreement

Before any money moves, you'll receive a clear loan agreement showing your exact loan amount, total fees, and your repayment date. Ontario law requires full disclosure. Review it carefully — you have a right to cancel within 2 business days with no penalty.

5

Receive your money by e-transfer

Once your agreement is signed, we send your loan by Interac e-Transfer to the email address on your application. Most customers receive their money within hours. Repayment is collected automatically by EFT on your next pay date — no need to do anything.

How to send us your banking

We need your last 3 months of bank statements plus your most recent activity. Recent activity means everything from the end of your last statement up to today. Pick whichever way is easiest for you.

Option 1 · Best

CSV download

One spreadsheet file of your account activity from online banking. Some banks let you pick 90 or 120 days, which covers everything in one file.

Best for: anyone with a computer

Option 2

PDF statements + recent activity

Your last 3 monthly statements as PDFs, plus screenshots or a CSV of everything since your last statement.

Best for: phone or computer

Option 3

Screenshots

Screenshots from your banking app showing dates, every transaction and your balance, with no gaps.

Best for: recent activity on a phone

Before you send

  • It’s the account your pay or income goes into.
  • Your name and the account are visible on at least one page or screenshot.
  • There are no gaps in the dates, from 3 months ago right up to today.
  • Screenshots show the date, description, amount and balance, and nothing is cropped or edited.

Send the files to us the same way we asked for them. Questions? Call AppleTree Cash at 1-888-674-1147.

What does a payday loan cost?

Canadian law caps payday loan fees at $14 per $100 borrowed. On a loan of 62 days, the APR is 82.42%. Here's exactly what that means:

Loan amount Fee ($14 per $100) Total you repay
$100$14.00$114.00
$200$28.00$228.00
$300$42.00$342.00
$500$70.00$570.00
$1,000$140.00$1,140.00
$1,500$210.00$1,710.00

Fees shown are the maximum permitted by Ontario's Payday Loans Act, 2008 (effective January 1, 2023). Your actual fee is disclosed in your loan agreement before you sign. Payday loans are short-term products intended for temporary financial needs — not a long-term financial solution.
