Documents you'll need

Our application is fully digital — no faxing, no photocopying, no mailing. Here's what you'll enter during the online process:

  • Government-issued ID Driver's licence, provincial ID card, or passport. You'll enter your ID number during the application.
  • Banking information Your bank's institution number, transit number, and account number — found at the bottom of a cheque or in your online banking.
  • Income details Pay frequency, approximate income amount, and employer or benefit type. We may request a recent pay stub or benefit statement in some cases.
  • Contact information Your current address, phone number, and email address for your e-transfer and loan agreement.

What about credit score?

Apple Tree Cash does not base lending decisions solely on your credit score. We look at your income, banking history, and ability to repay the loan on your next pay date. Many customers with imperfect credit history have been approved.

We do not perform a hard credit bureau inquiry that would impact your credit score during the initial application review.

Eligibility FAQ

Can I apply if I have bad credit?
Yes. We consider your current income and repayment ability rather than relying purely on credit history. Many customers with past credit problems, collections, or a low credit score have been approved by Apple Tree Cash.
Can I apply if I'm on social assistance or government benefits?
Yes. We accept Ontario Works, ODSP, CPP, OAS, CCB, EI, and other government benefit programs as valid income. Your payments must be regular and verifiable.
Can I get a second loan while I still have one outstanding?
Ontario law prohibits having more than one outstanding payday loan at a time from any lender. You must fully repay your current loan before applying for a new one.
I live outside Ontario and Saskatchewan — can I still apply?
At this time, Apple Tree Cash is licensed to lend in Ontario and Saskatchewan only. We cannot provide loans to residents of other provinces.
What if I've been declined before?
Each application is reviewed independently. If your circumstances have changed — new income source, improved banking history, or lower outstanding debts — you are welcome to reapply. Contact us if you'd like guidance before reapplying.
